Week 3 Making our own sculpture.
After many year since I graduated from my primary school, its a special art lesson for me. Making my own sculpture is not east at all. At first I think I can make it because I am familiar with myself. I start with the nose.
With the time running short, I round up my sculpture with a few hair and this is my work.
I try to make a comparison between myself and my sculpture. For the first time in making this, I realize how poor the ratio is of my nose and face. It seems so unlike.
Your forehead is not really round, it can be thinner, but cheekbone is really real! We can see that you paid a lot of attention on hair, eyes and eyebrows. The proportion is really fit, so we can easily identify what it is. However, your lip should spend more time and put more clay on it, this can make the model more stereoscopic. Otherwise, eyes and eyebrows will grab all the attention. But if the model will smile, I believe it will be the same as the above photo.

Yet, if you can use the black as background, it will create a specialized feeling. It’s quite unfortunate now.
